If they truly hired you as a permanent employee and not a seasonal then you should be fine. You may get a verbal warning or a warning letter for attendance but those aren't that big of a deal unless you make a habit of it.

Now after peak is over they may lay you off or have you "on call" on days where volume is low. But you will still be employed. Just not scheduled to work on low volume days. That's just something that happens to low seniority employees after peak in some locations. If they do put you, "on call" or whatever make sure you don't quit and stay in contact with management.

I've been at UPS for two decades. I have never seen an inside employee be let go during their probation period. And I've only seen 2 or 3 people get fired for attendance.
