Just because someone is undocumented doesn't mean they are violent criminals. These targeted people were mostly working and raising families. Besides ice made their intentions publicly known way before this raid. You want to blame somebody that rest squarely on the doj and ice.

They are not protected. In those cities, local law enforcement, has chosen not to hold people solely based on imigration status. This is done mostly in part because they will lose cooperation with communities in solving crimes. Ice and the doj are simply trying to place blame and responsibility on those cities for their own incompetent agencies.

The problem was that a certain percentage of the people ICE was after we're criminals. The Mayor warned these criminals and caused unnecessary danger for the agents and the community.

She belongs in jail for giving the "criminals" a heads up.

I've lived in southern California all my life... Been to Mexico many times and I'd be damned if I would try to sneak across their border, can't just waltz right in. Oh, and I don't blame them for coming here given the cartels and dirty government..but controlled and fair immigration policies are necessary for a sovereign nation.

If I'm correct we legally allow in a million people a year. We are a nation of immigrants and a nation with law's... So let's enforce the laws.
