My family came over just after 1800. I do have a bit of Cherokee but not enough to claim I'm an Indian.

My European family came over in the 1790's on both sides. My Native American relatives were here already.

Don't know of any country requiring proof of income to visit. Residency and/or citizenship sure.

I don't know about to visit but yeah if you want to move there you have to have a job arranged there first. New Zealand was also my first thought too.

New Zealand requires a $100(NZD) fee to enter for all except Australians and some Pacific Islanders.. Proof of income isn't required and Americans are allowed three months.
