Here is the information from the Gateway Pundit that the L.A. Times scrupulously avoided:
Five far left counter-protesters were arrested today in Murrieta, California as protesters and open borders supporters gathered outside a Southern California Border Patrol facility.
The pro-illegal immigrant counter-protesters were the ones arrested.

As Breitbart Texas reported, in just one weekend alone last month, “the U.S. Border Patrol prevented murder suspects, multiple sex offenders, and an MS-13 gang member from entering the interior of Texas after they illegally entered into the U.S. from Mexico. Try not to confuse the facts. I realize, as a fox news watcher, you have a tendancy to repeat what you hear, but MS-13 and children from central america are not one in the same.
Indeed, there are all types of people trying to enter our borders, but RICK PERRY is the governor of TEXAS, isnt it HIS job to protect the state and why is he trying to pass along that reponsibility to the federal government if he has all the right answers?
Sounds like Rick Perry is still the same dunce that we saw in the 2012 primaries.

Obama has trounced all over states rights when they try to do something about immigration themselves. He won't do anything but sues states when they try to take action.
You keep saying crap like this, but none of it is true. Had it NOT been for GW BUSH and the republicans who controlled congress in 2002, the laws ALLOWING central and south american children to stay here without deportation would have never happened.
But it did. BUSH signed the law and the children are here. The law is very clear, OBAMA cannot send them back. He cant violate the very law created by YOUR political party.
If you are unhappy with it, then join President Obama in forcing congress to act and change the immigration laws.
President Obama, back in April, asked congress to amend the BUSH law and allow the deportation or the turning around of central and south american children back to their home countries.
THE REPUBLICANS in congress refused to do so.
If you want to be angry, be angry at yourself for voting for a party that created this mess and the party that refuses to correct its mistakes.

In 2008, the republicans AMENDED the original bill allowing central american and south american children to remain in this country and paid for by US TAX dollars.

AS I said previously, President Obama has asked this congress to change the bill signed by GW BUSH and the republicans in congress refuse to do so for political reasons. BUT WHY?
Well, here's another opinion. If they do nothing, then the immigration problem only gets worse as more and more children from central and south america will continue to come here under the current BUSH law. For the republicans, they believe it causes the democrats problems in the midterms despite its financial effects on each state faced with taking these children.
Your writer in your link talks around the law and then simply distorts the facts to satisfy people like you.
Try reading the bill and the reauthorization bill. See for yourself how these children are allowed to come here, stay and be fed, housed and medically treated before being released to relatives or assisted in placement in the USA.
