It doesn’t look like impeachment is hurting Democrats electorally. Another governor win that Trump campaigned against. Perhaps some senate republicans will stop believing the myth that hugging Trump will keep them employed. Doubtful, but there’s hope.

thats a pretty big assumption and a selective assumption. it would have pumped a lot of money in to and revitalized a section of new york city. The tax revenue would have been substantial. The spending in that area also substantial.
residual employment from jobs that would have generated from 25000 people spending 150 k and more in that area would have also been substantial.
you cant dismiss the economic impact of the amazon move in 10 words.
And that's why people flee the state when they retire
