Is OT paid after 5 hours for PTimers?

Curious as to if OT is paid after 5 hours? I heard someone talking about it. Or is it after 8 in a day or 40 hours in a week?

Only in some locations. Where I am, it's OT after 5 no matter what. If you double, it's highly likely that one of your shifts, in its entirety, will be OT.

It's probably a regional thing. I'm in Florida so I'm sure there are a few differences being a RTW state.

RTW has nothing to do with OT rules.

Generally you will get OT after 5 hours unless you volunteer to double shift. OT would start after 8.

In the Southern, a sort could be run 3 1/2 hours, shut the belts off for a 30 min lunch or break, then run the sort another 3 1/2 hours, 7 total.
All paid at straight time.

Not in my hub i get over 5 hours all the time and never got ot

We have guys triple shifting this month. OT after working 5 hours. Unless your are also driving as part of your job. I tell my boss I can make more money double shifting then driving package car at top rate.
