@scratch says anyone that stays less than 40 is a wimp30 years is a piece of cake (if you are a man)----no more though.
I agree with this. I started with long pants year round, manual steering, manual brakes, and paper maps. Only sissies need A/C and map navigation.@scratch says anyone that stays less than 40 is a wimp

Nothing like that here. Hasn't been for a while. Maybe feeders on mileage runs? We’ve got drivers running out of hours
Injuries and vacations, along along with the company hiring no one this this year has been a disaster. Feeder drivers, love mileage runs. we have a couple that work barely 9 hours make $3000 a weekNothing like that here. Hasn't been for a while. Maybe feeders on mileage runs?

With 27 years in as a driver you should bid a better run. I stayed on a metro run (same one) for almost 27 years . Only reason I got off of it was because of a knee injury. I finally wised up and bid a country run, the difference is day and night .I still had to work but I did a lot more riding than working .It is getting to the point now to where I am too exhausted to work the 55-60 hours/week driving job.
This issue did not arise until after 29 years with UPS (27+ years as a driver). I have never had a lost time injury.
It is not surprising that working so many hours for so many years would leave a person exhausted.
I need survival tips so that I can hang on another 5 years.

$600.00 per day seems a little far fetched??Injuries and vacations, along along with the company hiring no one this this year has been a disaster. Feeder drivers, love mileage runs. we have a couple that work barely 9 hours make $3000 a week
