no im not confused im quoting mearsheimer
Will stop quoting him because he’s an idiot. And it makes your stance on non-nuclear proliferation look like a hypocrite.

There is such a thing as an educated idiot and maybe the gentleman you’re quoting is just that. Intelligent but with a huge blind spot.

I've driven in cities where everyone around me was driving faster than the limit. It's actually safer to keep up with them than force everyone to go around.
Indeed, but if you happen to be the one that gets the radar stuck on you good luck, telling the police officer that. My point is everyone understands that it’s possible to get a ticket and there is someone to enforce it.

International law is more of an idea than a reality because enforcement is so difficult and inconsistent.

i guarantee you greenwald concluded the same thing considering he did an episode called iraq war 2.0

i didnt understand the difference either. they couldve said 60% is building a nuke and i wouldve believed it, but as it turns out its not.

Compliance and enforcement are really not the same thing.

90% of the time I comply with the speed limit. But if I didn’t, and there was nobody to give me a ticket and enforced me paying it or doing jail time it wouldn’t really matter.
90% is an A

however id love to see war criminals get arrested

If international law could have been enforced they would have done something to Iran for constantly violating agreements.

Can you tell us which countries are enriching to 60% or more just for nuclear power? If you can find one are they doing it in a concrete reinforced bunker 200 ft below ground? If it's all innocent then why do that? Why build a converter facility that isn't needed or used for nuclear power? Only for weapons?
countries signed on to the NPT can enrich to 60% i dont know if its more or less and not violate intl law.

in addition your own intelligence said theyre not building a weapon.

Well, he’s being obtuse and you know that. There is no legitimate civilian reason to enrich uranium that high.

Again, I’m not suggesting that Iran is not a sovereign country and cannot do that. They certainly can, but there will be consequences.
he says it makes them a theshold state and theyre at the 5 yard line which israel doesnt like

israel of course doesnt have ieae inspectors, isnt signed on to the NPT, and does have nukes, and is run by crazies.

OK, so you admit they’re doing it to build a nuclear weapon. Stop with the mental gymnastics.

Why do they need inspectors? Everyone knows they have a nuclear weapon. And if they’re so crazy, why haven’t they used it?
