Jim Crow: The Sequel

They’ll cancel baseball as well as they canceled football.
The All-Star game and the playoffs are about all I watch with baseball. Not a problem turning it off. I watched football this year but at the height of all the kneeling I turned it off. There's always college football. When major NBA players go after anyone who criticizes China I turn it off too. They want to be political? Fine, but I don't have to watch.

It will be fine

So MLB will lose a “fan” that doesn’t actually follow the sport. How will they recover?

Just one of many who will decide not to watch if pro sports start telling us how to think. You know Trump supposedly is working on a social media platform. I don't know how successful that will be, but if it is it may mean a hundred million or more will leave some of the other big sites. Think they'll mind losing that many people? They sure went out of their way to squash Parler.

Parler is active. What are you complaining about? The free market needs competition, it’s not a bad thing.

I remember the horrors of Jim Crow back when white people didn’t allow blacks to be given water and food while waiting to vote.
I’m so glad Biden has rightfully called this out for what it is, Jim Crow on steroids.

I remember Martin Luther King saying he had a dream, that not only would black people be able to have water, but a choice of beverages to choose from Pepsi, coke or even a refreshing sprite while waiting to vote.

Hard to break up a winning team.
trump was an embarassment to the empire, and a useful distraction and very profitable for the mass media.

trump was a symptom of the disease. democrats sold out the working class decades ago. milt the stilt friedman's economic ideology of free markets has been imposed on teh poor and middle class, so if you are poor you will go bankrupt and experience market discipline. the rich of course get bailed out.

Markets are people trading. Free markets = free people. But I know Hedges doesn't favor freedom, so you don't either.

yes and then conservatives can debate how it didnt happen right after watching video footage of it lol

Nobody is saying it didn't happen. You're being silly. The only thing racist lefties get confused about is that it wasn't the cause of death.

Markets don't exist aside from the people trading that create them. The more free they are to do so, the better. Sometimes people within the markets do things to prevent others from freely trading, that's where regulation becomes necessary.

Corporations serve to protect people from the consequences of their actions, which gives them unfair advantage in the market. So we agree that corporations are not people, but you are getting closer to understanding what markets are, that's good.

when you voluntarily submit yourself to tyranny its a very limited kind of freedom. friedman isnt in favor of democracy. slavery had trade.
