Labor shortage concern at Fedex

Fred's Myth

Nonhyphenated American
Quit paying people to it work
Your post got me thinking.

How about instead of the company paying your wages, they pay the Federal government instead? Then the Feds can provide you with a sustaining income, based on what they believe is best for you and your circumstances? What a wonderful concept! Just show up for work, and the government will provide you with whatever it deems you need. To survive. Maybe.

Socialism at your doorstep. Hurry and get on the bandwagon!

They spent $millions on a union busting campaign and like others said FedEx bent over to keep the teamsters out. Freight drivers are the only hourlies that have a three year progression besides the union pilots. They are definitely concerned about the teamsters.
I disagree.

The upper tier understands Teamsters will mount no more organizing campaigns, they are very much concerned about home grown, in house movements toward representation.

You clowns can't see the forest for the trees.

They have absolutely no fear of any teamsters related activity if there is any within express today.

None.

It's your fault they have no fear. Punch your clock and keep bitching.

They are definitely concerned about the teamsters.
Take care of your business, and teamsters may get excited.
Until then express has no concern, nothing to fear from any union.

Thanks for the direction, Skipper.

Many of us lived and retired very comfortably on what we made as employees. Because your lack of money management put you in a bind, don't blame the company. Everyone here admits the older employees made a good living, yet you couldn't manage to get by on it. That fault falls on you.
As usual, you read into these things what you want to read. Sad little troll, I suppose you had a mansion and a butler all on courier wages?

Sorry couriers and bad managers have been around since the beginning of time. You actually think they just started in the last year?
Youre right Falcon, but the bad couriers and managers were nowhere near the levels they are now. In the "old days" we had our problem couriers and managers but they were generally in the minority. Now they have become the norm. Good couriers, as I am assuming you were one, are a rarity these days. If you were still on the job, you would not believe the debacle Express has become. Its really sad to watch.

Irrelevant if the customers don't stay, it not about how the company is doing, the earnings report is BS because FDX cancelled the money back guarantee for the last year+, pure profit on all those FO PO SO packages that weren't attempted at proper times.

Volume isn't much different(pre-response), what is different is "response" we've added 40 routes, and restructured all the rest. Response was suppose to fix late flights, they are later than ever,
AM route restructuring even if the planes are on-time are impossible to make service on.(because I'm guessing they restructured based on 3 year old data, volume has grown and they didn't take it into account)
Midday routes bring stuff back everyday because it's late or they have to start pickups.

It's a disaster, 2 managers just quit because they have no control over routes...apparently only vacations, timecards and accidents are the things they handle.
The two most relevant metrics are money and volume, and you say they don't count. It's like saying the football team that scored the most points didn't really win because they had a punt return for a TD and a fumble recovery returned for a TD, whereas the other team had more 1st downs, more yards of offense, and their QB had the higher passer rating.

I don’t understand why you guys still believe the fairy tale of the teamsters riding in on their white horses to save you from the evil corporation you choose to work for.
You weren't around back in the days when MF was pushing the IBT like he was the union version of a timeshare salesman.

And you say I'm an idiot for bringing up the declining birthrate issue. Why not get your football heroes to drive routes and buck boxes?

If they do get in you'll be the fairy tale of a long lone era because Bud you're all that stands between Fat Freddy and the IBT.

Last I heard, Ground is represented by The National Lampoon.

This is the speech Cactus high school advisor gave him. Apparently he didn't listen

Is that why Freight is represented by a union now?

Oh, that’s right, they’re not.
Don't insult our collective intelligence by trying to make any of us believe that the deal you offer pay and benefits wise is in the league as what a IBT represented driver gets. There is simply no possible way you can stand on the same level as those people or offer any legitimate excuse for doing Fat Freddy's bidding which is all your doing and everyone on this site knows it.
