Texas only stepped in after it begged Biden's admin to do their job which is protecting the border from illegal invasion.
I would have done this if I am the gov of TX: I put landmines half mile deep and machine gunners right behind it. It won't be open for sure.

SCOTUS did not tell Texas to tear down their razor wire, or to stop installing it.
All it said was that the Biden administration can keep cutting it to allow illegals in.
Texas can put it right back up.

If republicans don’t want illegals why didn’t they approve the border wall when they controlled the house and senate while trump was president?

They are releasing the arrested illegals into the country, so the arrested statistic is meaningless.
The deportation number is higher because Trump's "remain in Mexico" policy did not allow them to enter in the first place, therefore there were less to deport.

So according to your graph, in 2019, border crossings more than doubled under Trump compared to previous years. What was the cause of that?
