He doesn't realize that people in Norway have a higher standard of living than we do in the States, they have free healthcare, subsidized childcare, maternity leave, lower infant mortality, better press freedom, blah bla blah, the list goes on and on.

Why would someone from Norway want to emigrate to the US?

the nordic model is polar opposite from the american model.

people should be free to experience living and working in america and then in all likelihood leave. i see alot of doctors and im convinced i couldnt afford US health insurance.

We had a Swedish girl living with us (exchange student) one year. NO-she didn't look like every guys blonde Swedish dream girl. She was skinny as a rail on top and looked like an Olympic shot putter from the waste down. She was messy and always late and about ate us out of house and home. We were all glad to see her go. Don't let your kids talk you into bringing home an exchange student. It was my daughters idea and those two girls ended up hating each other.
