Actually never mind, calling gays shameful and stuff is in the New Testament as well. Jesus sounds like a :censored2:.
That was not Jesus ... that was Paul and even attributing that to Paul is very questionable.
Most Biblical scholars believe the anti-gay was added to the Bible in the 4th century to support Roman ruler's positions.

Honestly it’s impressive.
You think damn that was some crazy :censored2: and he just think I need to double down on this and reiterate the point they can’t grasp my ground breaking new theory of gay sex and murder.
Hardly ... ground breaking means it is accepted as plausible by more than one person.

And most biblical scholars would be incorrect, if your statement of "most" is true.
This can easily be proven, not by a using a singular verse or passage but by the totality of scripture, Old and New Testament.
You are correct, Paul said it in the letter to the Romans. Paul said he was a bond servant of Jesus Christ, and a former persecutor of the Church.
You are a smart man, you can figure out my point in my final sentence, most others on this board don't get the same confidence.
That was not flattery to you Old Man, just a statement of fact as I graze through here.

I may have missed it but I don't recall Jesus ever condemning homosexuals in fact I recall he was very welcoming to those that were ostracized such as the prostitutes

My main point is that "anti-gay" was attributed to Jesus and Jesus never expressed anything of the like.
The rest is, of course, opinion ... whether erudite or blind adherence or somewhere in between.

Jesus preached and lived an inclusive message.
Almost all churches established in his name practiced exclusion.

:poop: happens.

It was the position of Jewish writing in the Old Testament so why would the writers of the New Testament, who were Jewish, see it any differently?

Jesus never said don't rob banks but I think it would be considered sinful to do so. The thing about Christianity is leaving your old life behind, becoming new, starting over, living to please God instead of yourself.

Don’t pour new wine in an old skin.

If your God tells you something is wrong then don’t do it.
Don’t apply your standards to others.
That was the message of Paul.

The Apostle Paul when writing to a church listed numerous sins and said such were some of you. He spoke of how they left that life behind. He also said that God's grace saves us but after being saved do we continue to live in sin that God's grace may abound? No, we don't. We aren't perfect, but we must strive towards perfection. And God judges what's in our hearts. If we believe we can do what ever we like and it won't matter we are deceiving ourselves. Not a matter of hate.

Wow that's a lot of words to say absolutely nothing on topic.
