Load stand rules

What's up upsers, just joined the forums and not sure if this is the right place to post. Anyways, I've been loading on the twilight sort for 3 years and we got a new full time supervisor. He says we cannot use the load stands outside of the trailer to break a jam(on an extendo) and that is the first time I've ever heard that. We have one load stand inside the trailer and an extra one outside on the grating to break the jam. So I'm wondering if that is even a rule? Because it is a pain to break that jam without using one.
Thanks, SloGoat

You should have (and may need to demand) shepherd's hooks in all doors to break jams. Otherwise, get on the catwalk to break a jam. A load stand next to an extendo being used to break a jam can possibly be an egress issue. Don't reach to break a jam unless you enjoy having a working rotator cuff.

Work as instructed and work safe.
