Local 804 Drivers Walked Out

That’s Craptacular
Still no settlement right between the company and Union. But its definitely a management vs employee type of vibe in the building. I will say that I support my BAs decision... right or wrong. "If you don't stand for anything, you'll fall for everything"
yup, I agree with what Liam did. The consensus in my building is the same as far as I've heard.

I would have to think that it was more than working off the clock. UPS LOVES people like that. I just can't get over the fact that a 26 year driver was sorting off the clock. Especially in a local with a reputation such as 804.

We have drivers who come in as early as an hour before start time to set their cars up. I used to come in early but my current loader is awesome and I don't have to do anything more than set my airs up.

I would call that cheating. Obviously they're not able to do the job. Where is the union on this? If one of them ever got hurt I wonder what UPS's position would be.

Two of them are veteran drivers who both have the ability to do the job without coming in early. I think it is both force of habit and a security blanket of sorts.

We did have a casual get hurt while sorting his car off the clock. The center manager personally drove him to the ER. The sorting off the clock stopped for about a week or so but is now worse than ever before.

Do you Ignore your self?? Good job at making BC dry as toast! Ahh...but he's not baiting people anymore. I'll take it! And ignore only works when you don't respond to my posts....
It works for me either way.
If I am in a frisky mood, I read your posts.
Otherwise, I don't bother to read your posts.
Feeling frisky this morning. :love-very:

Finally took your advice. I have found that by putting the elderly (rod and moreluck), the simpleminded (IVE and BB58), the indecisive (Indecision) and the useless (407, anonymous) on ignore, my Brown Café experience is much more pleasant. Thanks, Hoke. (I mean Photog--sorry)
I bet ya it lasts about two days.

Do you still deliver packages off the clock in your own personal car?

I heart how you had to announce this in a post instead of just putting us on Ignore...and you just had to throw in a few insults to boot...lol. I'm actually a little surprised you didn't start a new thread about it. What's wrong Big Dave...was the movie sold out last night?? I'd rather be simple minded and funny, than have the personality of a box of hair....
Yeah and if me being useless makes him feel better I'm all for it. Whatever leads him to happiness.

I was hoping It was another goodbye letter....oh well . He took his bucket and shovel and left the sandbox. Time to move on.....do not give him any satisfaction, that we are talking about him!
I wasent saying anything to him but I'll keep on doing that. I'm sorry I've bothered him. I've even appologized. I feel better and feeling good about yourself is what really matters.
