Reid didn't do it because he thought it was a fun thing to try. He thought with Obama they'd get in more of their nominees since they controlled the Senate too at the time. 2014 was a big year for Republicans and they got back the Senate. Then the unimaginable happened with Trump winning. Now you want to pack the court to get your way because the previous manipulations blew up on you. Let's face it, the Dems think they and only they should have power. Given the opportunity they'll turn this into a one party state. And they've made it very clear what their agenda is if they get that kind of control.
