It didn't matter if you had turkey on Thanksgiving, or calamari on Christmas eve, or prime rib on Christmas, or corned beef on St Paddy's day.....we always had a side of spaghetti.

Dried cod (baccala), calamari, mussels, clams, anchovies, eel smelt and more. Some famlies do 10 or 13....depending what they associate it with. For instance, the 7 fishes may represent the 7 sacraments or the 10 fishes may represent the ten commandments. The 13 could be the 12 apostles plus Judas.
