Our part timers pay a one time $5.00 intro fee . And then when they go full time they pay another 20 bucks or whatever it is .

In my local, it's a $250 initiation fee when hired part time I believe and another $250 when you go from PT to full time.

In fact, the went after that fee a year after people went full time, because they forgot.

It is good I happily pay them. Of all the taxes and bull crap they take out of my check, I'm never unhappy about paying my union dues. It's the most important deduction

Some locals might have to cut back on staffing if they did away with the initiation fees. This would leave them with less people to stand up to UPS and enforce the contract.

Well i tried logging in to see my paycheck yesterday and today but the system is apparently down for maintenance all weekend. I want to say they took out $55 between union dues and initiation fee. I recall being told the total initiation fee was $200-250.
