You do not see proposals until the negotiation team and the company reach a tentative agreement and it’s time to vote on them.

During the negotiations the union does not release proposals because they change, sometimes several times in one day. We all have to sign confidentiality agreements about everything going on in session. So does the company team. This is not a “brown out“ of information… every meeting is being reported on in UPS Teamster app. But details about individual proposals? No, and it would not be beneficial to do so.

This is why we have rank and file members on every negotiating team, It’s not a backroom deal between a union boss and some UPS manager.

There were over 11,000 proposed changes at the national level. Wanna read them all? I don’t I’ll wait for the real TA.
Thank you for this informative post. I figured it might be something like what you describe above. On one extreme I wouldn't expect a live Youtube feed where we could watch the negotiations taking place in real time, but on the other hand, when I read some update like "three proposals were agreed upon and two were withdrawn, without knowing anything about the substance of those proposals, I feel such an update tells me almost nothing.

Years ago, for one negotiation, my own Local 705 put on their website basically what they and also what the company wanted the new contract to say. It was the point from which the negotiations were starting. Neither side got everything they wanted, but at least it was helpful to me to be able to see what each side was asking for.

You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
Just defending myself, why is it ok for your forum buddies to attack others?? As a “moderater” you should want more members on here, I’m sure the owner does too.
Hey buddy I’m done with your mom. Play time is over. Run on upstairs and she’ll make you some Mac and cheese. I mean she already made some. Yeah that’s definitely what you heard.
