Come to think of it.... it must have been more like late 90's, after the strike.

My Local tried to organize them. That's when it was determined they were't management.... but only

"administrative assistants". Basically secretary's. They didn't then (and don't now) have the ability to do

much of anything other than routine office work.

In our Local we had the Non-Union Clerks just sign a membership card in the early 70's, it was that simple...

Ancient history...and we wonder why it is so hard to organize others?

I'm not joking.

Full-time supes wore 3-piece suites.

PT supes wore white short sleeve shirts.... and could load a truck.
I don’t know if I’m just getting old but when I was in package it was grown ups who were center managers and on cars. I go back to my old building sometimes to pull a load and the place is being run by a bunch of what looks like 12 year olds. Center manager looks like he just finished 9th grade.
