I not a big fan of change period. Especially if you change something just for the sake of changing something which appears to have happened here. What is actually better than before? I can name several things that are worse.

I tried 'copy/paste' an oversized image and it took a couple of minutes and then displayed the "Oops, there is a problem" and did not post the picture.
I saved the picture and then uploaded via the 'Attach files' link and it was quick and effective and posted the picture.
I'll test some more.

Did you try the insert image link? Another way to do it but so far I think attach files works best.
