We had our heat go down , both our shop overhead heaters and the main building heat and had temp heaters in a few days.
Check your state laws, in my state the building has to be kept at a minimum for 55 degrees and have a working heating system in all areas where work is performed.
It sucks trying to work on the trucks in a freezing shop, tools suck the heat out of your hands and we cant wear warm gloves for much of our work since it requires touch. Also it's quite a bit colder under the trucks, if its 50 in the shop its probably low 40s at floor level. Plus our job is not constant movement like someone unloading a trailer.
