I have a nephew who played soccer all through school. Went to college on a full scholarship.

I didn't find out until last year that he had suffered three pretty good concussions over the years. Soccer's dirty little secret.

It's not a secret. Any child here must take concussion awareness training with a parent before they can play any sport at school. Every school year.

That's really the only reason I'd do it. Give the kids an excuse to run around.

One of my co-workers son got a full ride to a good college, playing soccer.
