Nice. I'm out today. Fishing a sumerged tree in about 15-20 foot of water. Pulled over it with the imaging on and seen some fish on it. Couldn't tell if they were crappie or bass. So I'm giving it a whirl with a drop shot and if nothing I'll try a crappie jig.
You know this is the time of year that crappie school in a thermocline. Find 1 and you will find a bunch. Good luck.

They actually have rainbow trout in Texas. Parks and wildlife put them in ponds all over the state. Mostly city and county parks. They won't live thru the summer cause the water gets too hot.

KILL KILL!!
Down here in Texas, they begin spawning in March and April. They make nests in about 1' of water right up against the bank.

About the same here. The small ones start early. Which is good because I've got crappie tournaments in April and then One in May. Pull up in the brush, clamp on, and start pulling em up.
