UPS Pilots Union Calls for Strike Vote
The union representing United Parcel Service Inc. UPS -0.24 % pilots on Wednesday called for a strike vote as contract negotiations enter their fifth year and the delivery giant’s all-important holiday peak season approaches.The union expects to report an affirmative vote on Oct. 23, however, a strike doesn’t look likely at this point. Supply-chain and shipping industry consultants view the vote call as a bid to push UPS closer to meeting the pilots’ demands on sticking points that include health-care and retirement benefits.

Does the Chief pilot have enough management pilots under him to fly all the planes. Off the street replacement heavy jet ratting pilots will warrant FAA riders in the jumpseats. Commercial pilots on vacation might take a few legs, provide they get jumpseat privilege back to their domicile.Hopefully they call in management pilots

It's crossed my mind. I'm not sure I want to do it though. The hours are terrible. The pay makes up for it though.
