Inordinately Right

And with their newer threat of adding to it for a permanent majority which will effectively achieve the same result.
I actually like the suggestion in the vox article that Democrats attempt abolishing the Senate by calling a constitutional convention..... it would not go the way they want.

I wish they were stupid enough to try.

That’s why they want to add to it instead. Not to mention how hard it is to get an article 5 going.

The day judges start acting like politicians, instead of the independent voices that they are supposed to be and follow the Constitution ,
is the day we start to lose the country and it has already begun!!!
Absolutely correct and well spoken.
That is why it PO's me to hear people refer to the SCOTUS Justices as Liberal or Conservative ... or ... as Democrat or Republican.
The actual description is whether a SCOTUS Justice is a Constitutionalist or an Activist.

Constitutionalist - a judicial philosophy that the courts are limited to basing decisions on the Constitution or subsequent established Legislative laws.

Activist - a judicial philosophy that the courts can and should go beyond the applicable law to consider broader societal implications of its decisions.

RBG was one of the worst offenders. She stopped caring about what the laws said and just voted on how she felt. Regardless of the details of a case.

And your assertion is further justified by her 'Death Bed Request'.

“My Most Fervent Wish Is That I Not Be Replaced Until a New President Is Installed”

She hated Trump and wanted her seat to be left unfilled until January 2025, if necessary.

Might have been more relevant if Mitch McConnell ran the Make-A-Wish Foundation and not the US Senate. Weird watching folks on CNN/MSNBC talk about it like it's supposed to tip the scales on the replacement process.
It's not even relevant.

“The loss of Justice Ginsburg is not just the loss of a jurist of historic stature," as Chief Justice John Roberts has put it.
"In a way, we've seen the last of an era in the kinds of people who wind up on the Supreme Court,” he says. “And I think that's a loss for the court and I think it's a loss for the country.”
