I think this author simply does not understand Civil Rights legislation even at the simplest level. It is fine for the DOJ to prosecute in cases where the codified law allows, but not where it simply doesn't exist. Fat white kids aren't protected under CRL. Maybe Rush can get Boehner to get CRL adjusted or a comprehensiv anti-bullying law for the DOJ to enforce.

Sadly enough, past court decisions have not held your reading of "race". I believe it has to do with original intent of the law and it's intention to define and codify the 14th, 15th, and 16th Ammendments. Wouldn't want to get the original intent wrong, no would we?

Can't help it that a group of liberal judges misunderstood the original intent of the amendments now can we? The intent of those amendments were to put all people on equal ground for protection from discrimination, no? .

I don't think the original amendments ever forsaw the day when the caucasion majority would need that protection. And I happen to agree that the courts probably have it wrong.

They may not have thought the Caucasian to need the protection, but there was a reason they worded it to cover all races. Otherwise they could have said all minority races, that would match what the court has ruled.
