We are Screwed
Our belts in our state of the art facility are always breaking. How "nice" does a belt have to be to carry a package from here to there? The equipment is fine.
I overheard a shop steward saying corporate will never budge on the $15/hr min. wage because they argue that a $15/hr min. wage for a part-time job is just that- a part-time job. It's not meant to be livable.
I thought you didn't even work at UPS anymore. You trolling son?!
Nope, still here and probably will be until I drop dead. Although you might confuse my lovely avatar with @sailfish
Some places at ups are starting at 15..... including a weekly bonus.... many on the west coast...I overheard a shop steward saying corporate will never budge on the $15/hr min. wage because they argue that a $15/hr min. wage for a part-time job is just that- a part-time job. I don’t agree with you..... HOFFA is the jokeLol. Classic boomerism. "You're not meant to have a fair wage. Uhhh because we said so. *rolls around in massive cash heap*"
Teamsters are a ing joke btw.
You should hear the bonus amount they are giving to seasonal feeder drivers....UPS will offer 200.00 a week bonus for x mas hires.

Wait til they make 22.4 feeder positions. Pull a load to the airport, park it, unload it, then run some EAM stops, bobtail back to the center, work day sort.....A quick google search found one for $600, they must think with the driver shortage it will be cheaper to do the runs in house.
They keep running feeder schools in my building and we lost runs. Makes no sense to us common folk.
