Ok California. Now what?

But you don't add fuel to the fire by letting underbrush get out of hand. They have Santa Ana winds every year but this year they were exceptionally strong. They pushed an already very strong fire from the underbrush growth down onto the city. The fire would not have been as intense and much more manageable if that underbrush wasn't there. And then to top it off they had hundreds of hydrants with no water. These are easily.manageable things that didn't happen because of trying to please environmentalists.
There's too much land, much of it steep mountains to clear all the underbrush. Most areas do as much as they can to mitigate fire danger. And again it doesn't matter when you have hurricane force winds. Flames and embers fly and catch anything and everything. Even palms were on fire. People like you just can't grasp that in a state as big and vast as California there's only so much you can do when it comes to these wind events.

We aren't talking about the vastness of California. We're talking about the mountains in close proximity to the city. No, they did not clear away the underbrush. They let it build up into a much greater hazard. And didn't have water available for hundreds of hydrants.

Um yes they did. Trumpers spout off misinformation without facts.

Loook at this picture. When entire suburbs burn down it's from the wind coming down the mountains not because they didn't clear underbrush.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

So why do the idiots build in areas that are high risk for wildfires? Especially since neither state or local democrat controlled government does anything to mitigate a potential wildfire. Cali has a fire season, you would think they’d have this by now. Probably would if a Republican was in charge for the last 20 years.

I’ll leave this here, going back to 1979, Texas has had eight (8) years of democratic governors. In 2024, they had the largest wildfire in US history. Maybe Governor Abbott should’ve kept some of those illegals to clear the underbrush instead of sending them all to Democratic cities? Certainly could’ve used the money to improve the power grid of this “great” state.

Is this really hard to understand? The fire in the mountains was much more intense because of the underbrush. The high winds pushed the intense fire into the city. And then there wasn't enough water to fight it. Burned overnight with 0% containment.

Because of Democrats? You are getting dumber by the day.

Which city in Texas half burned due to that wildfire? No one is saying wildfires don't happen. But knowing the risk you don't do everything to mitigate the intensity and spread of those fires into urban and suburban areas.
