Again, look at where the wildfires took place, the damage done, the lives lost, the area covered. If you're expecting fire hydrants on huge areas of prairie then I'd say you're a city slicker who doesn't know much. It's reasonable to expect if a large metropolitan area is right up against country that is prone annually to serious wildfires that they do everything possible to mitigate the risk.

When it comes to the firefighting business it's a lot more likely that the actual best candidates were chosen to lead a fire department if it's three white men rather than three lesbians.

Some of the gay women I worked with at UPS would probably do well at a fire department but those California women were pure DEI hires.

Not at all. But I’m also not an expert, maybe that was the best effort that could be put forward under the circumstances. Instead of blame, I choose compassion, for the people that lost homes and property and life, and the people being ostracized by others because of their perceived political shortcomings. Give it a try, your stress level might come down. It’s a horrible tragedy.
A lot of you crack me up, it’s like you could find the idea that a car accident could’ve been prevented if only a republican built the car, or paved the highway, or programmed the traffic light. These wildfires were a terrible tragedy, stop trying to find so much blame.

It’s impossible not to discriminate. Go on top of a building and tell me if gravity is a form of discrimination. Speed limits discrimination? Traffic laws?
