You try to make it sound as if Musk made the government give them money. Ever hear of the solar panel company Solyndra? The Bush administration turned them down for money because they didn't think solar panels made in the U.S. could compete with the Chinese due to labor costs. Obama got elected and his administration approved half a billion to Solyndra, which made a large contribution to Obama's campaign. Half a billion dollars. So what happened? They couldn't compete, folded and all that money disappeared. Now compare that to Tesla, a successful company.
