Have you seen the cost of ebikes that can do 225 miles? And as I pointed out in the cold those batteries drain quickly. And if somehow you could add a heating device inside an enclosed frame the weight of the enclosure, the wind resistance it would have, and the heater itself would drain the battery in no time. All the research in the world won't change that.
of course the batteries keep getting better.

no i didnt check the cost. 6500 usd. still way cheaper than the cheapest new car.

i would guess it can handle the distance of 225 miles lol.
Do you not read posts? 225 miles is under optimal conditions. Rider weight, temperature, hills, wind resistance all factor in how long the battery will last. Ebike batteries are a lot smaller than EV batteries. And again, there is no cover for the rider on that bike. Nor a heater. Not one ebike on the market with a heater. So let's see how you do in minus 20° in winter. Won't be too long and you'd want a car.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

225 miles is a lot. at most people will go 180 miles a day. and if they cant, suck it.

you know people didnt always have cars. jesus doesnt want us to trash the planet and for us to devolve into barbarism.

the planet has warmed 1.5 degrees.

the govt can either get serious and invest in batteries / transit or face hell on earth. its an easy choice.
