Package Car Driver being passed on the Feeder list by article 22 employees

Many times mirrors or side windows in packages cars are broken by carwash. Accidents are never reported, and vehicles are never repaired before the start of the package car drivers next shift.

Yup....a few Mondays ago halfway thru the sort...I go in the cab of one of my trucks to put an air on the seat...one of the side windows is shattered. I tell my sup and then had to unload the entire truck and reload into another. Thanks carwasher!

In the package car world, we get charged with an accident for this.

In the UPS world this is called a double standard.

It was different many years ago when I preloaded. The preloaders all car shifted and we tore up trucks all the time. We just told a sup and nobody got charged.

We just tell the shop and they replace a mirror or get out the paint brush to touch up the scratches. A broken side window would be a little harder to explain.
