I'm curious what guidance y'all have received with the placement of package deliveries at the home, e.g., nearest to the door but hiding it behind a column, and what kind of placement customers prefer most.

Depends on the area. One neighborhood might love back door deliveries while another might prefer you play hide the package in a front entry.
