I stick around to educate the younger workers how concessions over the years has affected all Union members. Especially PT members and now the new 22.4 delivery drivers.I wasn't even thought of yet...
As my oldest brother used to tell me

Do you disagree there have been huge concessions every contract?

You can lead a horse to water...... Prepare for more concessions next year.
Especially next year…You can lead a horse to water...... Prepare for more concessions next year.
There was a time when we looked forward to seeing what gains we would have in the next contract. Now we just fear what else we will give up.Especially next year…
LOL! Part-time here, but my weekly take home is about $900 a week, $1500 during peak. I do however, pretty much work full time hours on a part-timers pay. It's all about the OT.I’am just wondering how you live on $300ish a week
$23.50/hr here. $35.25 OT. It works.Saw ads for Target, they start at $20. Boggles my mind why anyone would work part time at ups nowadays. When I started on preload $8 per hour was twice what everywhere else was paying.

That's a lot of OT. Of course with the labor shortage, I can see how it can be done.LOL! Part-time here, but my weekly take home is about $900 a week, $1500 during peak. I do however, pretty much work full time hours on a part-timers pay. It's all about the OT.
It's nice to have skill sets. I'm the last one out most days. Doing clerking, cleaning up, over goods... While they are yelling at everyone else to get off the clock, they leave me alone. Upper management seems to know my value. I don't milk the clock, I just leave when everything is done. That's a lot of OT. Of course with the labor shortage, I can see how it can be done.
Speaking of salt… one time I got a 25lb box of ground pepper down my chute. I had the brilliant idea of ripping it open where the camera couldn’t see and tipping it out. Probably one of the worse decisions I’ve made at this job. I prayed for whoever unloaded that….Got written up for loading a salt. Letter was sent to me, which I don't want to receive. Is UPS trying to get rid of me? If I miss another salt at any time in the future, am I immediately terminated? Last salt that I missed was over a year ago.
