Umm... Do you guys not need to display your IDs above your waist? We're issued lanyards with ID holders for around our neck.

Still, I have had instances where a customer has asked to see my ID and when I point to it, they demand I take it out for them to inspect. "Sorry, that's not going to happen. I'm responsible for this ID and if it gets stolen, that's on me."

If I look like a thief then do not open the door for me- I will leave your package at the front door as indicated on scanner.

It's a requirement I've never seen enforced. My guys that do wear them end up losing them all the time and eventually stop.

Lose the lanyard or their IDs?

Losing an ID once, at my station gets you a talking to. Do it again and you're asking to be terminated.
My ID has been in my wallet over 40 years. Never wear it and have never lost it. Never heard of anyone getting disciplined for losing it.

We don't get lanyards, just a little clip and a holder. It gets knocked off easily and they lose the ID. The only consequence is the hassle of having to get a new picture for a new ID and getting walked in past security in the morning.

I'm in an area where we have to worry about Homeland Security all the time. We are required to wear them in the station and are checked randomly for them. I've never been told we have to wear them on the road though.

Yes they are expensive but worth every dime. If I had stayed my next truck was going to be a US Army Deuce and a Half. The TM said. 'You get it I'll sign off on it."
