Permanent TCD

Those places are either not seeing the kind of holiday volume surge experienced in most places or they're laying off a ton of permanent FT drivers for most of the year.

Where I am we just don't need 45% more drivers outside of the holiday season. But there's no way we could get through the holiday season without them.
It's what someone else said.... During Christmas use Christmas help for those "spikes"....stop trying to cover for the company....you too Dave..we have ft cover drivers in progression to top rate...if for some reason outside of Christmas it gets busy..ie Mother's Day they run extra cars and the cover drivers ( read: full time drivers) run the routes and if they get super desperate then a sup goes out with a part timer... No need for tcd's...ever you two are wrong sorry

That is the way my building handles extra volume along with streeting every Air Driver available with ground stops and paying them top driver rate. Win win for everyone.

I like to know that a part timer who is making pennys can go on car with a sup for a couple days and probably make more in those 2 days than they do in 2 weeks....

and it might keep them around for more than a month with the possibility of getting a payday every now and then....
Any time that kind of an opportunity rolls around a guy high up the food chain is going to grab it. No day 28 guy is going to see that unless it's peak
