Possible driver death due to heat

And pair the temps with the 19sec bulk head door being open metric they are doing , you find yourself hard press to get a drink and don't even bring up the fact that if you are on the 9.5 how much more they are watching your dead time
Drink while you are driving and not distracted.
I remember bringing Gatorade and frozen gallons of water in a cooler with rollers.

We have been informed at our PCMs that taking a drink is an in cab distraction and we are to refrain from drinking while the truck is moving. But yet we are supposed to stay hydrated?
Safety first.
I was a runner but I always took time to drink.
I played tennis throughout high school and college so I understood start early and drink, drink drink.
My brown shirt had salt rings all over the place.

So? What is your point? All those old folks should have studies in school more?
If she graduated HS in 77 she is probably late 50's at that. Someone that old with so much seniority should easily have recognized the signs of over heating and gotten their core temp down.
Once you get past a point, you don't understand it.
I've played in tennis tournaments for 40 years and almost every tournament heat and dehydration takes someone down.
I know from experience in my 40's.
I did not understand.
The first thing I remembered was waking up with a couple of paramedics around me giving me IVs to hydrate.

How many times have you seen a professional athlete. Go down? They are in top shape and have trainers and medical staff around. It still happens.

Luckily, my personal doctor was on the next court playing.
He took charge and called the paramedics and had me in the office the next week for a full cardio assessment.
Winners in sports typically push themselves to the limit and many time past the limit.

You were lucky your doctor plays tennis instead of golf.

Also you got to take the mental stress into consideration. Heat, physical activity and mental stress is not a good combination.

On hot days I would have to estimate how much I would need to drink during the day. Some days a gallon cooler wouldn't be enough especially if I had to work later than I expected. That is when it gets dangerous. End of the day and you are sweated out and tired and just trying to get done. If I expected a really bad day I would always take more. Sometimes 2 gallons. At least 2 or 3 bottles of water in addition to the gallon cooler.

Agreed. This is why I work at my pace, not according to their expectations. When you quit worrying about their metrics and work according to your own abilities, the stress level goes down immensely. Every day, I do the best that I can do.
I've been doing it long enough to know what my limit is. They wanna give me any crap. 1(800) SICK-DAY.
Not dropping dead for them. I might have to crawl out of this place but they aren't going to carry me out.
