Preparing For What Might Be Next

Yes, I know I'm going to read the same snide remarks from the same ignorant people but nevertheless here's a thought.
If Putin were to launch a cyber attack among the first to likely to be hit would be the US banking and electronic transfer system. Credit cards, debit cards etc. Perhaps it might be a good idea to keep some extra cash on hand in case cash becomes the only medium of exchange while the damage is being repaired and the system brought back on line.

Cash is one option.
Gold & silver coins is another with diamonds, too.
Sometimes lead is best.
Some of us are decades ahead of your thoughts.

Ok.

Then what?

So, Russia shuts down the biggest economy in the world.....and we would just take it?

The first to be "hit" would be banking? Not our armed forces....nuclear comes to mind.

And China just sitting around while the U.S. is vulnerable?

But then Biden.....Harris...Pelosi.....scary.

I'm more concerned with really scary things like attacking nuclear power plants and fires.....China taking Taiwan....Russia escalating while we "backdoor" warplanes through "neutral" countries....

While we've basically "cyber attacked"(frozen) Russia's assets.

And when the system "is brought back online" then what? Another cyber attack?

The U.S. basically has very little manufacturing capacity right now. What about when the oceans become unsafe for transport?

We are importing oil now...have shut our production.....

My biggest concern? Biden, Harris and Pelosi.

I'm curious...

How would you buy food with a gold coin or even diamonds?
Aren't gold coins worth hundreds if not thousands? How would a grocery store or even a fellow citizen verify the legitimacy of gold or silver and diamonds? "Pinch" a piece of a coin off? Have a microscope and gold tester handy....everywhere you go...

Buy fuel(if it was available)?

Now, bullets are easy to trade as are guns and food. Even water purifying stuff. Clothes. Cigarettes.

Cash would be good for starting fires.....

There, there Chicken Little. The sky is not falling. Most of our oil imports come from Canada and Mexico.

Didn't say it was. Wasn't talking to you. I was responding to someone else. Didn't we just shut down a Canadian pipeline?

Been to Mexico lately? Ever hear of cartels?

Canada is attacking it's own citizens(electronically). Gonna force Canada and Mexico to send us oil? How long to get that pipeline up and running?

Our Govt. is doing everything it can to stop using oil.

When you go to Walmart I'm sure they'll take your furs and firewood as payment for your groceries. Even today when electronic transfer goes down for a couple of hours in a limited area people freak out. And since your decades ahead of me please tell me how the Ukrainian war will be settled ? What will the new world order be like in 2031?

What if Russia takes out our satellites?its too bad we don’t have any independent news in this country any more. Pelosie thinks we get our oil from Russia?and so does the average american. Just2 years ago we were self sufficient in oil. we now send our natural gas over to Europe creating a false shortage here so they can charge more. We don’t stand a chance it’s too bad.
