President Trump

There is no doubt that the President did exactly what he has been accused of; however, is this an impeachable offense? Wouldn't a sanction or other form of official slap on the hand serve the same purpose without all of the expense? There is one year left before the next General Election-----is it really worth going through all of this to remove an obviously corrupt President when the same could be accomplished in the voter's booth next November?

Failing to overthrow a duly elected President is a great way to lose the election in 2020. Go for it.

This is an excellent point.

Keep dangling this "shiny object" and the Dems will lose any focus they may have had on the 2020 elections.

It will be fine

He’s trying to influence that election, that’s the problem with an electoral remedy.

The evidence just keeps piling up every day. Not if but when it gets to the Senate there will be a few incumbent senators who will be torn between what the evidence and the Constitution requires that they do and their desire for political self preservation. Then again Graham made it quite clear that there doesn't have to be a crime committed just a need to in his words "cleanse" the office.

Don't get me wrong----I would much rather have Pence in the Oval Office----I am just wondering if it is worth going through all of this with only one year left in his term.
