[quoteNavy veteran Dan Gilmore said the NFL’s stance against kneeling doesn’t mix with his version of patriotism.

“I wouldn’t personally kneel, but I support their right to do it,” the 44-year-old Gilmore said. “[Veterans], we’re not protecting an item or a song, but the values and the rights to freedom of speech.”

Gilmore, a contract web developer for the federal government, isn’t turning his TV off on Sundays, nor is he staying away from M&T Bank Stadium. He has tickets for the opener against the Buffalo Bills.

you can always find a veteran that says that and many others that disagree.

you're not suggesting this guy speaks for all veterans are you?

I'm suggesting that you don't speak for all Americans or paying customers

The League’s bottom line. The details regarding how they actually got to their decision is indeed debatable. But not really so much regarding whether this is a First Amendment threat.
The players have a union and a collective bargaining agreement. Guess it's clear which side Trump stands on when it comes to union/company disputes.

He's been on the job far too long by now anyways.

Besides, he's not sucking Trumps dick like Hannity is.

Course not. But the NFL probably looked at its fan base demographics and decided the new policy was the way to go.
They might want to look at the demographics of it's players. This isn't over by a long shot. The NFL would have done better by not having an opinion at all on this matter. Kneeling was likely to fade away, Goodell just lit the field under it.
