The superintendent has changed his mind and decided to keep the schools closed for a second day.
Not much has changed overnight. The search is still focused on the same area, although the circumference has narrowed.
One new development has Joyce Miller involved with not only one but both of the inmates. It has been confirmed that she was supposed to drive the getaway car but she got cold feet and never showed. She will be charged but it is still uncertain what those charges will be and when they will be made.
Although I have been minimally impacted by this, the news coverage is getting old and we are all ready for this to be over.

Joyce Mitchell was arraigned at 11 pm last night, charged with promoting prison contraband and criminal facilitation and is being held in lieu of posting bail of $110K cash/$220K bond. She is being accused of providing hacksaw blades, drill bits and a screwdriver. Her next court appearance will be Monday at 8:30 am. The delay was at the request of her lawyer to give him time to review the case and sit down with his client. Ironically the lawyer is directly related (brother) to a former UPS driver, who was fired for theft of services ("borrowed" a peel off 1Z label to return a package).

Joyce Mitchell has been moved to a facility in Rensselear County due to "tensions" at Clinton County Jail; however, she is still due back in court in Plattsburgh at 8:30 Monday morning.
Her husband is now a person of interest.
A local field day scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled due to the search.
