Schools near the prison will re-open tomorrow.
Good question, especially considering they denied a request for overtime to lockdown the facility after a 50 man brawl that preceded the escape.
I shudder to think how much has been spent so far and what the final total will be once this is finally over.
New York isn't supposed to spend money for stuff out in the country. That money is supposed to go to NYC.
Most of that money comes from NYC...

Albany sends more to NYC than it receives.
Are they still searching that one "swampy" area?Not much has changed since this morning. Our local TV station is running out of ways to keep us updated.
Are they still searching that one "swampy" area?
Have they checked your cellar yet ?
As am I.Thankfully I am outside of the search area and have been largely unaffected.
Warning, Rowdy will attack!!Hello Tip Line ;
I know of a guy who lives near the prison who wishes for his house to be searched .
Please send over your most attractive officers .
Joyce Mitchell was arraigned at 11 pm last night, charged with promoting prison contraband and criminal facilitation and is being held in lieu of posting bail of $110K cash/$220K bond. She is being accused of providing hacksaw blades, drill bits and a screwdriver. Her next court appearance will be Monday at 8:30 am. The delay was at the request of her lawyer to give him time to review the case and sit down with his client. Ironically the lawyer is directly related (brother) to a former UPS driver, who was fired for theft of services ("borrowed" a peel off 1Z label to return a package).
