Three female students who claimed they were victims of a racist bus attack will face assault charges after evidence shows THEY were 'the aggressors' and beat a white classmate
Authorities said SUNY Albany students Alexis Briggs , Ariel Agudio and Asha Burwell , who are all 20, will be charged with third-degree assault following a January 30 incident on a bus in Albany.
Burwell and Agudio will also be charged with falsely reporting the incident and all three are expected to appear in court on Monday. Police said an investigation into the alleged attack - in which the three women claimed they were victims of a racial attack at the hands of white students - revealed there was only one victim, a 19-year-old who was allegedly assaulted by the three students.
The evidence indicates they were actually the aggressors in the physical altercation, and that they continued to assault the victim despite the efforts of several passengers to stop them,' police said in a statement.
