Raises - on topic

so i have been working at UPS for about a month and a half. And I started with a starting rate of 10 dollars an hour and just recently on my paychecks I have been getting 11. Can anyone tell me why I received this raise and also why no one told me about it??????

I know in the old contract you got a raise after a relatively short period of time. Not sure what it is now.

Unless you are an unloader, you get a dollar more for "skilled" labor

If you are a preloader or sorter, or pickoff - you should be making $11 and not $10/hr.

You have been coded as a "skilled" employee which gives you the extra dollar. Communication on UPS's part is not their strong suit, therefore you will be told almost nothing and expected to know it.
