I recently saw another expert say that the pilot had the opportunity to cancel the landing for another attempt. It might be that the pilot in question didn’t want to be dinged for an abortive attempt. Even the average joe knew that the plane was coming down for a hard landing and didn’t flare. DEI had already did it’s damage by not letting highly qualified military pilots a chance at these highly paid positions because of a quota system.
