The irony here is people like him should love Donald Trump for supporting Israel as it really makes him one of the most progressive presidents ever. Israel is one of the most progressive nations in the world and by far in that area. They support homosexuals, transgender and abortion. He hates himself and Trump so much that he would rather Not fund Israel and their fight against Hamas. Even though Israel would welcome him with open arms, and Hamas would slit his throat, throw him off a tall building and throw his body into a ravine. maybe one day he’ll get his wish.


Yes, Israel is considered a progressive country that supports the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people. Israel has some of the most progressive LGBT rights in the Middle East.

And yet the right loves the government of Israel. It’s bizarre.

It is bizarre but it's rooted in misconceptions:
1. That Israel is a "western" country; it's not, it's decidedly Middle Eastern in culture, just a very different "Middle Eastern" than what we are used to
2. That the Jews and Christians are bros against Islam; this is insane cope, Jews look down on Christians as insane cultists and there is no inherent appreciation for any Israel-worship by the evangelicals
3. That the Arab states (and Muslims) suddenly began hating America FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER OUT OF THE BLUE and oh hey just a coincidence but Israel is our only friend in a sea of hate! This takes the cake really, even a basic reading of history shows clearly that Israel is hyper-belligerent lightning rod for enemies

I guess I could rant on, but the tl;dr is military success (against literal military incompetents) and good Hollywood movies will really really do a number on people's beliefs....

I was just thinking about this the other day, I remember in school when 9/11 happened and asking why the middle east hates America and they would all say “because they’re jealous of our freedom” lol, I remember even thinking back then that seemed a little too simplified

Speaking of Israel in politics I saw this and thought you’d get a kick out of it, although I’m sure you’re well aware

From what I understand though is we get quite a lot out of our relationship with Israel also, and like you said them being middle eastern helps us having an ally in that region and having people “privy” to that area. Do you think that’s true or is your opinion more that we should start cutting ties completley?

I respect his votes on marijuana, he’s not in favor of it but voted multiple times to respect state rights and allow banks to be involved in the business and not allow states to penalize them to do so, voted to expand medical marijuana research and voted to prohibit federal government from preventing states to allow medical marijuana

We get some intel from them but supposedly it's just the scraps, just enough to keep us friendly and not much more
We get to test our latest weaponry with them, which is maybe the most useful thing they provide, but the problem is they also take our tech and sell it to the Chinese
