Don't try to make me an apologist for large corporations. I've only been speaking to the fact that lower marginal taxes rates lead to greater revenue to the federal government.

And this is the classic supply-side argument, which has never worked.

How many times are we going to run this experiment?

There's another nickname for this: Voodoo economics!

Social security needs to be demolished, just like our pension plans.
I have mixed feelings about it. In our entitlement society, we'll probably get stuck supporting the non-savers down the road, so might be good to force them to contribute now.

They're great ideas, but from a financial perspective, I can't depend on either 30 years down the road. I'd rather have the money to invest myself.

all i know they got a lot of money stashed
No, it's in the country that originally taxed them economy. Earned there, taxed there, stays there. Bring it home, lose whatever the US decides to tax for a second time. Not a good proposal for shareholders or investors in mutual funds or whatever investment instrument.

I get to keep 4k more, until the cuts expire.
I'm still against it because it's bad for the country.

We can't keep up this debt. Sad thing is, we're in a 2 party system and neither cares.
