Repug versus Dimwit perception of the electoral map of the United States

You're arguing since there are so many liberals concentrated in New York and California their influence in national elections is limited to their electoral college votes which isn't fair. The framers obviously anticipated power being concentrated in large cities and wanted all parts of the country to have a say in how things are done. If you want national influence you have to earn it. As demonstrated by the Green New Deal liberals often want to take things too far too fast. Those conservative hicks in the sticks often have a much more steady approach to things. Want to get elected? Have a moderate approach in between that gets the most votes and insures extremists on either side don't take over. Trump is only radical to the far Left and doesn't go far enough to many on the far right. In between is where it's at, not the often observed craziness of California.
Damn van. Pay attention.

IT IS NOT ABOUT LIBERAL OR CONSERVATIVE.

IT IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.

Donald Trump is president. Fundamentally, nothing has changed. Sure, there’s some push and pull at the edges, but money is still money, power is still power, and you still have to live out of the country to make ends meet for the lifestyle you want.

Half of the country lives fine. Pretty doubtful you'll ever get a system where everyone does. But you'll keep trying.

North Carolina? About as nonsouthern as a southern state can be.
Funny you should say that. I was thinking as I drove in today that North Carolinians are the Yankees of the South. But then I have lived in rural North Carolina too. Much different than Raleigh or Charlotte.

OK, why did they do it?
The founders made the electoral college because they believed people were too stupid to choose the president.

They were clearly right on that account.

Electors, free from obligation to political party or will of the ignorant masses, could make the decision for them.

The current electoral college is a complete perversion of the founders' intent.

Can you name an election where the popular vote was ignored and they chose who they wanted instead? I'm talking about state by state, not the national popular vote. When did the current electoral college become a perversion? Are you saying the rich and powerful should choose the president?
