A piece of advice I was given a long time ago was live off your eight hours. It was good advice, although really never has been a problem getting overtime. But if you need the overtime, just to survive you’re an idiot.

Poor fellow is only making almost $8 grand a month base salary and his rent is around $1800 for a 4 bedroom home. Even with all that overtime he couldn't afford disability insurance which would have helped him with that knee surgery?

Sounds like poor lifestyle choices. Even with no overtime he should be living comfortably.

He was making around $120k a year. Where did all that money go?
