Socialism at its best.
Yes it is. And so is the CBA that forces UPS to pay its drivers well above market rate wages & benefits.
I guess we only like socialism when it benefits us?

UPS has a choice. Or should I say choices. I don't care if minimum wage goes to $40 an hour in seattle. People have choices and I doubt many will pay $15 for a Big Mac. Even good intentions have unintended consequences.Yes it is. And so is the CBA that forces UPS to pay its drivers well above market rate wages & benefits.

And just like UPS, companies like McDonald's and Walmart have choices as well. They can afford to pay their employees better without raising their prices... they just prefer to keep the crux of them in the pockets of their executive managerial teams/etc.
Yes, that is called a choice. Sometimes in life people have to make tough choices. Lets take City Fish, for example. You probably seen them on TV throwing a sold fish to a guy behind the counter to wrap it up. They have been around for over 80 years.UPS has a choice? Really? What's that -- either agree to "reasonable" demands from the IBT (that are still well above market rate) or force a strike and watch the company go down the pooper?
I'm certain that if you could tell Mr. Davis the secret to divesting its current CBA, he happily reward you and you'd be set financially for life.

Watch more Seahawk games. Can't say that I have ever seen that on TV.
Do you watch much South Park?Yes, that is called a choice. Sometimes in life people have to make tough choices. Lets take City Fish, for example. You probably seen them on TV throwing a sold fish to a guy behind the counter to wrap it up. They have been around for over 80 years.
It's a simple business. They buy seafood and resale it. Can they afford the extra cost in wages? Can they afford to keep all their employees. Can they keep their prices competitive with places outside the city? Seems to me that seattle city limits would resemble the United States, and all around would resemble China (cheap labor). After all, seattle is not on an island.
I wish I had a dollar every time I had to wait for parking by the pig. So I guess your not a candidate to rent out an apt. above it. Besides with out the market we wouldn't have greats like spoon man. The greatest entertainers come from the market.Wish I had a dollar every time I've seen them flinging fish on TV. Pike Place Market is overrated and reeks of fish.
Not yet*In my state we do not give illegal aliens free healthcare or cell phones.
The entertainers are cool, but they are pretty much a byproduct of the Market.I wish I had a dollar every time I had to wait for parking by the pig. I watched a Seahawks game once where they won even though the last pass was picked off in the end zone.
